Sat Nav

Recently bought a 2017 RRS but can't get the sat nav or voice control to work, pressing voice control does nothing and the sat nav simply stays in one spot (presumably where the car was previously) without an option to set a destination.

I have registered to In Control and the app syncs with the car, I can bluetooth contacts and make a call by pressing the screen, Apple Carplay will work when plugged in (so I can access a sat nav this way) and I can answer an incoming phone call. So basically everything else seems ok except for the car sat nav and voice control button.

There is no sim card installed but I would expect navigation to work without this? It's probably something simple I am missing if anybody can help please.

I had exactly the same when I brought my 2017 RRS. Had to go back to the dealers for a re flash as well as replacing the module that holds the SIM card as that had been Censored by the previous owner.

Once it had been re flashed it all worked.

Also (and I use Android Auto) if you hold down the voice button it will trigger your voice assistant. YMMV with Siri and Apples.
