Hi first i'd like to say hello and thank you to the forum member's. I'm looking into buying a newer car soon current one Discovery TD5 just wondered what people's thought's are on these beast's as i've been looking at 2006-08 2.7tdv6 rrs or would the the 3.0 tdv6 be a better option as it's only a third car mainly for towing /weekend's thank's Very Happy

I wouldn’t say the 3.0 is a better car if it’s just your third car.

Use your money to get a lower Milage 2,7

I don't wish to rain on your parade and am the first to acknowledge that Range Rovers are a source of huge owner satisfaction but it comes at a cost.

Be prepared for steep maintenance charges and when bits start falling off and things begin to fail then you are facing eye-watering bills.

Nah, the 2.7 is the bus of RRS. Whistle

If it's a low mileage toy, get a supercharged V8 petrol and do it properly. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yeah I was going to say.

Don’t rule out a 4.2 SC if you can cope with 13 mpg.
Less to go wrong on the engine
