2012 RRS interior roof lights not working...

Hi all hopeing someone can advise. My first post out of many to come.

I wanted to upgrade all bulbs to LED in interior of which when replacing the OSR reading light bulb the plug came off bulb holder and as LR are extremely generous with the loom Laughing it's impossible to plug back in as I can't pull any more through. Has this happened before to anyone and if so what would you advise?

Also whilst doing the upgrade to led bulbs I went to test and the dome light is the only light that works in roof the map/reading lights do not work and neither do the vanity mirror lights. Is the front interior light console a circuit breaker for all those other bulbs? If so I'll order one off that's being broken for parts. Boot light, footwell and door courtesy lights work as they should... So can't be fuse as the dome light wouldn't work either? (note standard bulbs do not work either)

Thanks all hopefully one of you can advise or help before I take it to a specialist.

I still think you need to check Fuse 57 (10amp) in fuse box behind passenger side glove box. The other circuits are controlled by FET's.

Will do I'll double check it tomorrow it was a right pain to get to in the first place after attempting to take it out. There was some sort of live feed just above it. Anyway I'll remove and inspect. 👍

Always found a pair of long tapered nose pliers ideal to pull the fuses, that stupid tool in the fuse box is as much use as a chocolate teapot unless you have fingers like ET.

Would like to thank you for suggesting the fuse. Took it out and it was blown. Replaced it so all is working. However the OSR one isn't because of it being unplugged and no way of connecting it again lol.

When the map lights were fitted at the factory, they fitted them to the lining before fitting the lining to the car. The loom was fitted at the same time as the lights and the loom was glued in place. It sounds like you have the same problem I had on my 12MY and I had to slide my hand up from the C pillar, over the lining and pull the glue off which gave me the extra length. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
