Hi there, I’ve just bought a RRS autobiography 3.0 42k miles 2016 plate arriving next Friday. It comes with a 6m warranty but doesn’t cover crank shaft as it’s just dealers standard warranty. I just wondered, It’s got a full LRSH but when I went to have a look on the LR website it said the car had no products available for extended warranty? Is there a reason for this and am I better getting a warranty from elsewhere? I’ve seen several recommendations on warranty wise but thought I’d see what people’s thoughts are? The cars being fully serviced etc and has had alloys etc refurbished looks like new.

You can only buy a warranty on line from LR if it already has some left. Otherwise i think it has to be inspected first. I’ve just extended mine for £945 for the year Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY

I had a warranty wise policy some years ago, failed to pay out when I needed to change an engine in my D3.

Warranty direct seems to be the best for paying out these days, covers the crankshaft and you can select just the bits you want. Joined the X5 45e club

and if you read the small print of LandRover approved/extended warranty its not operated by land rover but Car Care so an aftermarket warranty anyway
( or it was last time I looked )

We went for warranty direct when we had the L494 after it came out of Manufactures warranty
If you go that route ask on here for who has a policy already as they do a refer a friend
