The Adaptive Cruise Control sensor is not in the bumper strip with the parking sensors. It is above that (and just above the number plate) recessed in the lower air intake towards the passenger side of the car

I mean you would find it very hard to identify any damage so I would be very surprised if this was the cause from the little knock. N

Is this on your SVR? The sensor is likely in a different position to the one Eaters has shown which is for the original RRS ACC sensor. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yep - would expect the anti-rear-ending to be based on the same forward facing radar sensor as the adaptive cruise (certainly was in my Skoda) 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S |

Where have you installed your dashcam?(you mentioned it in another thread) If behind the rear view mirror, try turning it off and see if that resolves it. I had to place mine to the left of the mirror mount rather than underneath it as it interfered with my ACC and high beam assist. |

Mine didn't interfere on install, only happened after a while. Went to the garage as I couldn't find the problem, they turned the dashcam off and everything worked again straight away.

Thanks Gerd..will try today ... is it the actual dashcam signal or the obstruction that was causing it ? N

It seemed it was the signal for some reason, as though the sensor in the windscreen is directed downward, therefore when mounted below something from the dashcam interferes with the signal. When mounted to the left and higher it seems as though it doesn't block the signal. Could be complete BS, just know it worked for me. |
