I had mine fitted a week ago, and have done 1500 miles since. I would say they do make a difference and I would recommend them. |

How much do the dealers charge for installing them? There's a long list of dealer installed options, many of which are simply placed in the car - though it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to charge to do even that. However, installing the mud-flaps involves cutting or drilling so they may well charge and the deployable side steps requires almost a day's worth of work.

My dealer wanted £240 fitted! Much cheaper to get them from Dan @ Duckworths and fit them yourself. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more...

Think the key is whether they can be fitted without taking the wheels off because it's more involved if you do. I originally tried and failed with the Evoque, all fine with the extra space. |

I managed to fit them on my Freelander without taking the wheels off. I am hoping the RRS will be the same! Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more...

I've got deployable steps and they get absolutely minging. I've had a set of mudflaps sent from Duckworths and will fit them myself when I can, this should help a bit. As Mark_N said, if you get them done by a dealer they just don't do it properly (probably a job for some apprentice anyway) - I'm sure my attention to detail is better.

I'm rubbish at stuff like this and as my sales guy has organized free fitting I'm going with it. I will be paying MSRP for the mud flaps which is a bit more than Duckworths (who by the way quoted me more money for a replacement Evoque key than my dealer). Free fitting or not, I'd want the mudflaps to be fitted properly so have told them I will be casting my beady eyes over their work Current...
