Put in drive, car won't move for a while

Hello all,

I recently had a gearbox refurb in Portugal, I live in the UK and I am here now. When I got the car back I put the car into drive and instead of the usual instant pull it took a few seconds to pull off, if I pressed the throttle the car just sat there and revved then slowly moved off. I also had a big jolt between 4th and 5th gears so I insisted they do it again.

The car came back and the jolt had gone but the delay in drive was still there. They traced the problem back to the hydraulic pack that pressurises the gearbox. It was far too close to Christmas and I was due to drive home so the mechanic gave me the pack from his own personal car and I drove home without issue but the problem is now back.

When I get in the car from cold you put it into drive and its like its still in neutral, after a few seconds it will move off but slowly, then after another few seconds everything feels as it should. It does seem to be getting worse though. Any ideas what would cause this?
