I have a hard copy of the MY2013 brochure and could scan the relevant pages into a PDF and email to you if you end up looking at the MY2013 L320. There is no replacement for displacement - W O Bentley

Thanks or the replies, most of those brochures seem to be US based and don't list models unfortunately - and concentrate on V8 engines.

If you can, go for the 2012, the electrics and audio system were slightly revised. Also I wouldn’t worry to much about what an Autobiography has over a well spec’d HSE as a lot of the gadgets on the AB are hopeless anyway, 2 tone interior doesn’t add much, the high beam assist isn’t brill and don’t bother with a sunroof. If you want the Diesel, it’s got to have a FSH and some sort of warranty with crank cover. If the warranty cost is to costly, consider the 5.0 SC as the engine has less known issues so the warranty could be less. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Cor, does that post get the prize for the longest time between joining the forum and making a first post? 3 and a half years! Welcome in to the light, friend. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

The TDV8 is the one to get. Pulls beautifully from low down and really suits the Range Rover feel. As to why it's cheaper, I guess a combination of headline fuel use figures being worse, and fear of the dreaded turbo failure. Looked after, a TDV8 is a lovely thing and doesn't suffer the crankshaft issues of the TDV6. I wish I'd kept mine when I bought the SDV6 but I couldn't justify having two on the drive. Shame as we'd done a lot of miles together. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Don't get me wrong, I love the TDV8 but going for a 2010 (as I did), my impression is you get a sort of red-headed step-child; it's a half-way house between the early cars and the later cars in terms of interior screens/entertainment/tech etc, so there's less options for factory upgrades, nav etc. Doing it again, I'd have waited a bit and gone for the 5.0 SC in a 2012 car.. but you live and learn. And if you ran an M5 previously, crippling repair and fuel bills must not worry you (Part of the reason I stuck with the manual 650 and didn't go for an M6 - I'd already had some eye watering bills for the SMG-II in my previous E46 M3) When I was looking, TDV8 2010 cars were hard to find as they are 'last of the line' - although that might have been because I wanted a black interior, and it seems like 90% of them were white/cream/beige. 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S |

The M5 luckily was under BMW warranty so repair bills were fine (thankfully), the fuel bills however - just ouch! As much as i like the idea of 5.0 SC, it's just not practical for me or the family at this moment, as much as i really want the noise haha. |
