Has anyone out there with the cold climate pack, had experience with the heated washer nozzles. As it has only now just got cold enough to freeze the water in them I had no idea if they worked of not, it looks may mine are not. LR say they are on the same ECU as the heated mirrors, which do heat. Fuse checked and OK. Does any one out there know if they only work down to a certain temp., or if it takes a while for the heater element to work.

Nigel, I think the cold climate pack is standard on the HSE and therefore will include heated washers. It's possible that your secreenwash concentration was too weak and the fluid just froze whilst stationary, not having time to melt and work normally on your journey. Anyway, your first action should always be to go and see the nice man at your local dealership as a warranty issue. After the mandatory "never heard of that one before", he should get on fix it for you. Good Luck! |

Just use the screenwasher liquid for low temp (up to -25c) and it won't freeze. I buy 5litres each time i'm on the petrol station. 2014 Mercedes-Benz S500

Yes, mine always defrosted in the winter... there's no on/off switch though, they just worked. It might be linked to the heated front screen switch....

I think the heated door mirrors are on all of the time. No on or off switch and they are not linked to any other system in the car either. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

It's nice to know that when the summer gets here and we're all roasting in 40C temps that the mirrors will still be happily heating up

No wonder GP object to these 4X4s with things like constantly heating mirrors, it all helps towards global warming, you know some of my Previous cars
