Do you have ACE Active Corner Enhancement? sounds like it could be leaking and no longer working... |

Could be as simple as rear shocks have completely failed due to age.. any other symptoms? |

Rear shocks ride fine on good pavement and seem fine off road too. Vehicle for all intents and purposes is a-ok aside from the fit it has on a rough patch of broken pavement.

Dampers that are getting aged may well ride ok on normal flat surfaces. It is just the kind of surface you describe that shows their weakness and wear.

Have ordered a full set of replacement air struts they should arrive by Tuesday and I’ll get them in ASAP and update the results. 2007 Stornaway Grey RRS HSE 4.4 V8 |

I had rear dampers replaced last year, and before the change the traditional bounce test ( done by opening the boot and jumping up and down on the boot floor) did manifest as excessive bouncing. Maybe my dampers were well gone but it’s an easy check to try just in case. Robin 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Gone: Jaguar S-Type V8 4.2 Sport MGZTT 190 2.5 |

Are you doing the fronts too? I replaced mine all around and it made a massive difference to the ride. Kev

I do have new struts for the front to put on, wanted to try rears first and see if that resolved the issue (which it did😃) and also it started raining and I was working outside so I stopped there. 2007 Stornaway Grey RRS HSE 4.4 V8 |

So I finally got around to replacing the front air shocks too and happy to say the Rover rides very well now.
