when you open the glovebox you should see two plastic prongs on the dash side. One is the clip for the glovebox latch and the other is a longer round pin-like prong. You should be able to push that prong in as this is the switch for the lamp. If that prong is there then you have the light but the bulb has blown.

stick your finger into the gap directly behind the prong that triggers the light as it lives up there. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres. |

Thanks Bobby, do you know if the glovebox light circuit is connected to the ashtray light / cigarette lighter? I noticed they are not working either and the fuse is fine...Cheers RR Sport TDV6 HSE 07MY Java Black |

I'm not sure about the circuit but I think the glove compartment light, map reading lamps and vanity mirror lamps share the same fuse (10A).
