Egr valve

Hello. My engine management light has just come on. It shows code P045C egr b control circuit low. First question is. Why side is “b” and are pattern parts any good or would you go with genuine Land Rover? The other code is P0196 with is engine oil temp sensor circuit range and performance. I take it that this is just a oil pressure switch as I call it? Thanks for any help with this.
