2006 RRSport alternator help !!!!

My guys I’d like your opinion.

I could hear a whine noise from one of my pulleys then a red battery light came on along with a smell of rubber. So I stripped it down and replaced the alternator. Mine has the anti roll bar pump which added to the pain of changing the alternator. While it was stripped I span all the pulleys and they all seemed loose apart from the Anti-Roll bar pump. It wasn’t horrendous just not as free as all the others. Are these many to be like this or should they be totally free?? So I then fitted the new alternator and built it back up. When started I was met with a squeak noise So I replaced the drive belt but it was still there. I took it for a test drive and the sqeak goes away after 2 mins of driving. However today the red battery light came back on today. Could it be the Anti-Roll bar pulley somehow doing this ?? Or do you guys think I’ve fitted a duff alternator ??? With the new alternator the battery is recieving14.1 volts if that helps.

Any help or opinions would be great !!!

Cheers

The advise on here is to only fit Denso alternators

with a lot of evidence to support this.

Try and return for a refund if the battery light is on

You may also want to check the 5A ALT fuse in the box next to the battery
Just in case it’s simple

Just checked all the 5a fuses. They all seem ok. Must be a dud alternator. Fingers crossed or I’m lost !! 😐
