Overheating - Water Pump Wiring / Cooling Fan

Hi,

Please can someone help????? My 2006 RRS Supercharged is over heating in traffic. Had water pump changed, but the fan does not seem to run up to full speed every time when I am in a german traffic jam (frequent occurrence)!!!!

I have heard the water pump wiring could be incorrect, or the fan sensor or viscous fan could be faulty.

Does anyone have any experience or solutions for this problem please????

If I need a new fan, any recommendations would be appreciated as there are so many available....

Thank in advance for your help.
Mark

The one you are talking about is the auxiliary pump for the supercharger which can come from the factory wired backwards which usually brings on limp mode when you are driving hard not in traffic so unlikely thats your issue Thumbs Up

heck your fan is working it should sound noisy when you start the car and then quiet and when iy starts to get hot you should hear it if it come on but it does sound like the viscous is maybe not working correctly if it only does it in traffic Thumbs Up

Some say if you can hold the fan when it’s supposed to be on when temp is high it means the viscous is knackered but never had the bottle to try to be honest Rolling with laughter
