power upgrade - re-mapped ecu

Hillendales have scored again with me.
recently mentioned a main dealer power upgrade, decided to go ahead with a friend of mine we both went back to Hillendales (Steve service manager) & had what they call power upgrade or better known as vehicle enhancement programming.
basically they re-write the ECU or something like that.
takes most of the day but we got the usual treatment: name on the board in reception, courtesy vehicle, mini valet on collection etc. Power is excellent we have both found, the low down flat spot / turbo lag when say approaching a roundabout then seeing that its clear while still rolling & applying the power to have nothing for say 1-2 secs has gone completely, also found that we tootling at 30 -33mph we often got a wave on & off of power were the vehicle could not decied what gear to goin as it seemed to be right on the edge on a change at this speed, this has gone also as the RR is much more responsive & dosn't seek a gear now till say 40mph. we are told that we have 230-235bhp know & having had a 530ds last time which was 230bhp i can assure you that its correct.
having asked all the usual warranty questions note that i was told to stay loyal to Hillendales & they would stay loyal to us. Good way of keeping customers i agree but im very happy with there service anyhow.
price should be £675 + vat but took 2 & got £200 off good deal.
note also that fuel consuption seems to have improved to 29-30 mph & don't forget we are both still playing with the power.
also mentioned FBH which was checked & is working fine so thanks to all who helped me earlier on this.
hope this info helps somebody.
Very Happy
