My partner, being a bit jealous of mine and upset that it now resides in Wales, is thinking about one of the above. We've found a tidy looking one of the above, not big miles, full history etc. I know most of the normal things to look out for RRS wise but what should I be looking out for with the petrol variant? Its had a new expansion tank, which is apparently can be an issue with these but what else?

Not a lot other than what goes wrong with all sport's front bushes air con etc also the fluid from the active roll bars can leak

Just to add I've had a 4.2 SC for over 7 years now and the only things I've had to fix/replace outside of the usual wear and tear are the following:

Air suspension compressor

Power steering universal joint

2 x front bushes

PTI Module (FOC from a very kind dealer)

And that's it! Obviously regularly serviced and I've done lowish mileage in that time (26K) but for such a complex vehicle with a poor overall history of reliability it has been (touch wood) fantastic.

Yes, indeed. Going to test drive it tomorrow, so hopefully as sound & reliable as kismet110's
