12v boot socket.

I assume the rear 12v socket is a permanent live. I`ve just plugged my sat nav in, locked car and waited almost 30 mins and it was still on. Is this right? Steve.

How long would it stay live after shutting down then? Maybe there`s a timer (on my ST if was about 30 mins). Steve.

I`m hoping it`s live as that`s the only way I can work out how to attach my ctek charger! Steve.

It turns off as soon as you turn the ignition key to 0

Yours could be bypassed?

or pull that trim away and connect it to the towbar plugs lower down.
There is a thick green wire with brown stripe that is +12v. (not to be cinfused with the reversing light wire)

Connect CTEK black to a metal bolt behind there.

it doesn't matter that you don't have towbar electrics, if going behind the trim.

Anyway if your sockets, bypassed, that's fine.

As long at the socket stays plugged in and your are happy to pay the money for the adaptor lead
