If it has been properly registered with a 17 plate it cannot be changed however they may have just stuck a plate on it. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black. |

Still don't follow why they would need to put an irrelevant plate on it - what do they gain from this? |

My Velar had 17 plates on it when I went to see it as it arrived at the dealer - I was like you and was like WTF is it registered - they told me it was not just assigned a random plate assigned so that they can tell the cars apart. |

Why do the garages have random new registration plates lying around? |

If that's the case, why don't they simply have a bunch of plates marked Job 1, Job 2 etc etc which they can use time and again? There's likely a bit more to this than is being told....maybe it's financially beneficial. |
