Time to Test the Extended warranty

Recently noticed a rumbling from the front end of our 104000mls, 2012 SDV6, RRS.
Local Independent , whom I trust, suggests wheel bearing and a metallic noise from the front diff. which MAY be noise transfer from the wheel bearing.
Extended warranty hand book suggests both are covered so contacting LandRover Assist tomorrow for advice.
Having used the search facility see that earlier RRS suffered Front Diff problems. .Does anyone know if it continued in later models?
Appologies if the topic is documented elsewhere.

I had a wheel earring picked up on my last service at my local Indy so booked it in for two weeks time. Five days later and I was getting a horrendous scraping noise on exit of roundabouts.

I was shocked how quick and how badly it deteriorated as at time of service no indication while driving and I had only done about 350 miles from service.

So, don't leave it too long to sort it out. 2016 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic Aintree Green Black 21” Wheels Ivory Leatherr with Mocka Dash and carpets
