United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Sumatra Black
Milk

Censored Milk everywhere. 1.5 litres of milk all over the boot. I have done my very best to soak up as much as possible and clean. But it’s now been a couple of day and I think it’s a fight that I have lost.

It smells awful and I’m wondering if I’m better off replacing the boot lining and the soft padded lining which is under the carpet lining.

I have already dismantled all the carpet lining. But I can’t seem to find any replacement parts after a quick search. Does anyone have any idea where I can get replacements?

Thanks

Call Dan at Duckworths (site sponsor) and he can quote you all new carpet, lining etc. I'd get it all put now to stop smell spreading and lingering Crying or Very sad Visitor from fullfatrr.com

You need something to kill off the mills bacteria

Something like Autosmart Bio Brisk or as I used in the past a Censored load of Detroit anti bacteria surface spray and soak the whole carpet and clean it

If you have the carpet out, hang it up and hose it down till the water clear

As above, Bio Brisk is good. A proper biological cleaner is needed for any animal or human fluid Whistle

Although not milk, we got a dog a bit ago and it chose various corners to Censored in, my wife cleaned it with various products and we thought it then clean. After reading online, we got a UV torch and it easily showed where the dog had chosen as a toilet, so a quick scrub with Bio Brisk and it looks much cleaner under the UV light now. Again not milk, but both animal/human product.

Excellent for grease on carpets aswell. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

Thank for all the responses. its all out and im going to give it a chemical clean. If that doesnt work then ive sources most of the parts second hand and ok condition (not as nice as they currently are minus the milk of course)

I did exactly the same in my old car. Used carpet cleaner foam, seemed to work well! 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged

Cant help with a replacement however had a similar issue with milk in a previous car.

Mix bowl of water - add vinegar and bi carb to water - use sponge and dab the affected areas.

Leave the bowl in the boot for a few days.

Cleared the odour in my car 100%

....then you just have to get rid of the smell of vinegar when you forget about the bowl and spill it at the first corner! Wink Laughing
