Supercharged cut out

Evening all, hope ure all enjoying the sun !

I've been to b&q and when I started the car it cut out. I started it again only for it to cut out again ? Third time lucky I was off. At some lights it cut out out and lost power. Got it started an yo my mate garage and the fault said fuel rail pressure too low ? We cleared faults an it's been fine since. No engine management light came on or anything so im a bit stumped ???

Anyone had this happen or can advise please ?

Thanks[/url]

Your fuel pump might be on it's last breath, that's the first thing I can think of. Regards etc.,

Thanks for advice !

My mate says start with the fuel filter and go from there.

Do you know how to check the fuel pump please ?

A clogged fuel filter would be safe bet as well.
Usually checking the pump involves removing it from the tank and checking the flow on a 'bench' (as in "anywhere you can spray a bit of fuel around") and measuring the voltage provided to the pump. It's not unusual to see voltage drop to 10-11 volts due to harness' age, while the pump is designed to run at 12 and while the car is running - around 14.3V. Any issues with the voltage will cause the pump to work at lower efficiency. Regards etc.,

Try getting the engine software updated, I had the same issue with mine, it was as though you start the engine and switch it off. I could get mine to stay running if I held the throttle down a little, but yeah, resolved with a software update Thumbs Up
