TDV8 fuel filter question and suspension fault

Hi All
I'm having trouble on my 08 TDV8. Last year in Cornwall whilst towing caravan up hill the car went into limo mode and stage message "engine system fault" came up. I pulled over restarted the car and it's never faulted since.
This weekend we was going over the A66 uphill towing once again "engine system fault" and went into limp mode. It proceeded to do this another 5 times every time in a hill.
Coming home it did it again twice but I notice its fine until engine has been hot for a while.
Today I've checked intercooler hoses all fine. Also checked and sprayed actuator arms with lubricant but they were all free moving anyway.
Only thing left to try is fuel filter. Are they really that sensitive to blocking and not allowing enough fuel through to cause this? Would make sense as it's happening up hills and only when towing but never heard of them been blocked enough to cause issues like that?
Car has 70k on and not sure if filter has ever been done. Turbos were new at 43k so can't see them been issue.
Also since jacking car up the suspension is rising so slow. Rear goes up fine but front is so slow and message "suspension rising slowly" is on display. What can have gone wrong there?
Thanks Andy

The slow suspension is likely to be that your suspension compressor is tired. A new compressor is probably required.

It's entirely possible that the fuel filter hasn't been changed. Easy enough for a garage to do, however. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Might be hot gearbox, having to pull a trailer/caravan up hills? Just bought a RRS 06 MY HSE TDV6 136,000 miles, to be a second car to my bland, boring Mitsubishi Outlander 68 plate 2.0 petrol 4

I was thinking compressor. Was all working fine before jacking up. Maybe just unlucky it's gone same time.
Will change fuel filter this week easy enough to do.

Def sounds like fuel filter to me, hope you've got the use of a ramp/pit as there a bit of a pain. Carnt help with the sus problem other than what has already been said though always put the car into offroad setting before I jack it up or lift on a ramp, it locks the sus in that setting. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current
