Adaptive Cruise Control Jammed

I was driving along using the adaptive cruise control which as I was behind a car I had slowed down to it's speed on a normal A class road (no dual carriageways where I live, but we do now have tar... Laughing ). Oncoming traffic was in the distance so first one motorbike jumped in front of me, then another, and after a second or so my dash flashed up a warning Radar Jammed, or something like this along with the rapid warning bleeping then disengaging cruise control while telling to take manual control (I forget the messages).

I reckon one of or both bikes had a speed detector jammer onboard, does anyone think this is likely?

As an ex-bike rider I had a little chuckle to myself anyway.

That's sounds to me like the car sensed the bike as it was too close and the adaptive cruise knocked itself off and requested manual control. This is a safety system on the car Thumbs Up

Yes I've had that several times when I get too close to a car like if it brakes quicker than normal, and also at too low a speed the system goes to manual.

But this message was different, it definately said something similar to Radar Jammed, as at first I thought there was a problem with the system. When the first bike pulled in my RRS just slowed down, then maybe 10 seconds before the second bike and my RRS reacted again, but then the warnings started - when a car has braked too quick (or someone cuts in front of you) the warnings are pretty instant. The bikes weren't racing just making better progress than me and I always have the ACC distance set to max so there was plenty of room (not actually needed for where I live, I was just being lazy).

It might not have been anything related to a jammer, it's just the warning was different. Everything worked again a bit later.
