Climate Control / Thermostat

Hi,
Didn't find a definitive answer in the search.
In the summer the Climate control didn't really blow cold air despite being set on lowest setting. Friend recommended getting the air con maintained and topped up. Now in the Autumn / Winter, i'm not really getting hot air. I can drive for an hour before it really starts to blow close to hot air. Obviously in Finland, where as of this moment it is -17 plus wind chill factor - hot air is a benefit. This weekend another friend told me it is because of a faulty thermostat, but not to worry it's an easy and cheap fix.

Before i go and do either one, does anyone on here have anything to back any of the above comments up, or own experiences?`

cheers

I would have thought that the thermostat is ignored when on max heat setting

it's staying near to the bottom and of course more so on these cold days. After an hours drive it was just under midway. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography

Sounds like thermostat but -17C is pretty extreme. Have you considered blanking off part of your radiator to reduce cooling effect?

I've seen some cars with that in this country.
Today i am looking at charging the battery or buying a completely new one as it took ages to start yesterday and didn't start at all today. but then it is -18 (in the daytime) 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography
