I got a quote from Warranty Direct the other day. Unfortunately, they were around 30% dearer than Customer Protect were for their equivalent 2 year warranty, in fact, CP's 3 year warranty was around the same price as the 2 year warranty from WD but should that set alarm bells ringing ? |

No. I have never had a claim rejected from WD, no quibble on parts or labour prices

Is the warranty being offered by the dealer as part of a sales package? They often "give" these warranties as a way of deflecting the customer. If the vehicle has a fault in the initial stages of ownership, it's the dealer's responsibility to fix it. They try to fob people off with a warranty that often says "no".

You can haggle with WD so give them a ring. They cut me cheques for £2000 this summer for bushes, a steering pump and a fancy shock absorber. I had to pay £50 excess for each of the 3 claims. Claim approval decision was made within a few hours. I find it hard not to recommend WD. On renewal my car will be over 6 years old, so they reduce the percentage of cover for parts from 100% to 80% or something. Not that I am planning on ever having to claim again! L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone! |
