The car fog lights can be connected to this
So that the cars fogs are off when trailer plugged in
To stop reflections off white caravans.

Well anything with a white front. So could apply to a boat.

Anyway if the socket doesn't come with an extra terminal, you will need to connect the single wire to blue No.2 to ensure the car rear fogs work

Ok the reason i decided to replace the towing socket was that i had no Right Tail / Side Light I had checked all fuses, checked bulbs plugged in a spare trailer board and got the same as above so i put it down to the socket all other lights work Left Tail /side works, Left and Right indicators work, Brake Stop lights work anyone got any ideas

Check 5a fuses by the jack.

Check there is power on both sides of the fuse when the lights are on.

Humm I wonder if you have an aftermarket tow kit,

In which case the fault could be them blue scotch locks.

Normally there are 6 fuses in view when you open the hatch (on early models)

You will just have to follow the towbar wiring to trace the fault.
Probably on the passenger side.

If you want a quick fix;
I guess you could leave the dead wire disconnected and take a feed off the brown or black (which ever one works)
