hi, I've just noticed that I don't have the standard (yellow engine picture) eml light on when I first put ignition on, before i go pulling the dash cluster out with paranoia can someone confirm it should illuminate when first put ignition on and go out soon after. (Can the bulb be removed if somone wanted to hide the fact that it is constantly on) As I can't remember ever seeing it on the dash in the 3/4 months I've owned it.

Just been reading owners manual, if I'm reading correct it shows that on the diesel the glow plug heater is the eml. Or as the gap code reader says engine mil light. Is that right?

Our age cars don't have them.

You get a message come up on the dash when there is an error.

Thanks Andy, i just got bit worried and had flashbacks, many years ago I purchased a used car and cut a long story short it was found that the eml bulb was removed rather than fix fault before selling it to some Gullible idiot (me)
