Looking to buy a 2010 MY RRS 3.0 TDV6, and just been quoted £2500 plus VAT for front and rear belts, does that sound right?!

Guy said it was a body off job to get to rear belt. Price includes a service.

It's one of those jobs that you:

A) Leave the body on and struggle for 8 hours

B) Lift the body, and don't struggle for 8 hours

£2500 is waaaay excessive though... Last one I quoted was £900, service included

I had done a bit of research on it, and saw prices a lot less than that, so I did question him, but he was pretty certain it was a body off job, and £2500 was it's money.

If the belts are a few hundred quid, and its 8 hours labour, is he charging nearly main dealer labour rates?

Anyhow...will see if I can get one bought 1st!

Looked at one yesterday, 1 owner, full dealer history, cam belt done...but smoking like a locomotive. Quite normal the seller said...see ya pal!
