United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black
The sweet smell of sweaty trainers! Please help!

Hi Guys

I run a summer 2012 HSE and in recent times it has become a little unpleasant to be in. In place of the cosy smell of high grade hide, I enjoy a smell I can only describe as cat pee, or sweaty trainers. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this? We haven't spilt anything in the car. I'm wondering if it's something going on in the AC/heating system.

Thanks in advance. In the meantime I'll continue using the cotton wool up the nose;)

Phil

Correct. All you need is what is generally known as an 'air con bomb'. Many different brands and probably all pretty similar.
Think I used a Comma branded one last time and it seemed to do the job. It is really just an aerosol that you set off in the car with the air con running and the recycle button pressed; leave it for 15 minutes - job done. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

As said above, these are even available from Halfords if you require an easy source. John
