Ottons (well...Westover now) are a broadly good bunch, but not cheap. I would suggest you go to an indy anyway. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

When you say "extended warranty" do you mean the warranty provided by Car Care Plan (CCP) after the standard 3-years-from-new warranty expires?

Yes it is the Landrover warranty as you say provided by a third party. I assumed that Landrover needed the car serviced by a main dealer.

I've had little personal experience of any main dealers recently - either DIY, or would always use an indy. I've had plenty of dealings with the guys at Ottons in the past and I would trust them to get it right, but at a price. I have a friend that is a loyal customer of Harwoods Basingstoke but I fear it is not a decision based on much logic or thought but a force of habit. Re warranty, as above. If you want the absoute best, I can very highly recommend Steve Norman - you won't find a better guy - but he is a little way off (south of Shepton Mallet). Mark West is very highly regarded on the forums too. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Auto HSE Zambezi Silver |
