Boot size/dimensions

'Evening all,

First time poster here - am trying to convince HWMBO that we should get a RRS rather than a D3. She counter argues that the boot on the Disco is much bigger. Does anyone know the Length, Width and Height (max) of the RRS boot? Have looked through all LR brochures and the website, plus whatcar and no joy!

Love the Disco, but really want the RRS! Suppose it's not a terrible choice to have to make...

Cheers, John Very Happy

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Welcome to the board Woolwich_Gunner.

The RRS is by far the better vehicle, and you can quote me to you know who.

Boot size really depends on what you need to lug around with you. And you will need to lug lots of stuff to fill the RRS's boot.

How much space do you need? Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

If it's boot space you need the RRS is not for you. I do not have the sizes but I have both a D3 and a RRS and the D3 is huge compared to the RRS. The RRS is enough for a buggy and a medium sized dog.

Funny old thing, it's for a medium sized dog and a buggy - I do really like the D3 but just unsure about the image. I'm only 28, first kid arriving imminently and trying to hold on to my youth! Mrs Gunner wanted to look at Q7 - had to put my foot down...

The RRS has plenty of room then if it's only the 2 of you, a baby (congratulations) and a dog. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

My Staffordshire Bullterrier takes himself for a walk in the boot of my RRS as we are driving along. He likes to look at everyone through the windows, good job it has privacy glass so that no one can see him posing. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Thanks guys, at least I have some extra ammo for the RRS now. I was thinking of getting the RRS cargo divider cage thing - admittedly the D3 one is a bit more impressive but should still be able to get buggy and dog in! As a rough guesstimate, would you say that the RRS boot is about 1 metre long (front to back)?

Haven't won the war yet! BTW, does anyone know the waiting time for an RRS factory order (from scratch)?

Depends what you want. If you want the new TDV8 I would expect about 3-5 months. If you are prepared to compromise on options/colour you probably could pick one up fairly quickly. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

On a seperate issue, I can get a 13% discount on all Land Rover vehicles (only one car in a 12 month period though, I am afraid!). By my reckoning, I should be able to buy a TDV6 SE for about £35K - would it be reasonable of me to think that I'd get my money back if I sold it after a year? Probably not the best place to post this question, but y'all being so friendly...

We know of a HSE TDV6 that had 25000 miles on it in 13 months that fetched 40k, I would think you would get very close to 35k after a year but I would get the TDV8 to make sure, the TDV6 will suffer when the TDV8 is on the market. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
