What oil do you guys use,Thinking of jusy using atf in mine,any thoughts.

The correct oil is not that much more expensive than regular ATF, I wouldn't take the chance

The cost of repairing the system will be many, many times more than the saving if it causes any damage

Agree - there is a reason for lr to spec a special fluid for these pumps ( other than dealer margins) - you don't want something not compatible with the rubber seals etc. I was able to source gm belgium fluid that has the same texaco spec (for my '06) - not sure where you would get that in Europe however - but agree with above post - if you have dealer close, may as well get the genuine stuff - not worth the money you save to damage the pump ...
