Roland you have a point.

VA, I have managed to buy a set of almost new genuine LR 20" wheels (not the stormers) with new Conti tyres from Kahn Design at a reasonable price and now plan to fit the original 19" alloys with Goodyear Mud Terrains for some serious off-roading.

Could you please let me know how they ride on motorways and in heavy rain and are they very noisy?

Roland my limited experience is that the road noise is a fair bit more, not being scientific but I would say about 30% more noise. In heavy rain I think the tyres are great. Go to our sister site Disco3.co.uk and ask the question because a few members have them on their cars as everyday tyres and know more than I do. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.
