Tuning boxes should be avoided. A proper remap is the way to go, from BAS or Alive etc. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Have heard instances of the dealer replacing the remap during a service. Andrew

It can happen, but it's still the only safe option. You can always go to an indy instead.

I've never had that happen to any of my customers, mainly as I add LR's latest Engine ECU SOftware first, so its as up to date as possible at the time. Additionally, if LR connect up the computer and update the software, it's tying up their computer and a technician, so generally will only do that if you ask for it, or if there is a specific ecu issue that needs updating. Personally I wouldn't touch any plug in box like this. Nice box of resisters...... Oh and I'd be interested to know how a plug in box can improve the airflow as they claim........ In fact, I've been doing this upgrade malarky on Disco/RRS etc for about 7 years or so and I've only ever once been called to re update something that the dealer had overwritten. That was for a LR retrofit Phone kit I installed and the dealer overwrote the CCF and couldnt re-enable the phone settings.
