My all time record was 552 on a trip back from Cornwall. Normally I'd get less than 500.

I did Luton to Stirling - 407 miles on a half tank last weekend, however I was a bit startled to read in one of the Land Rover mags that they are regularly acheiving 42mpg with their TDv6 HSE! I tried dammed hard to crack the 33mpg but to get 42mpg they must be cheating or they have a very optimistic trip computer. I know that one of their items when they achieved this was trying to do 40 counties in 40 hours at 40mpg................. but they also wanted to do it at 40 mph. My half tank was from brim to refilled at the cheapest pumps on the M9 just before I got home and I spent most of the trip north sat at 70 on the cruise ie REAL WORLD driving 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Misery had a close call with an empty tank coming up to MPH06 last week...... I dread to think how much high speed exhaust noise testing he had been doing on the way! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I managed an average 33mpg and an average speed of 55mph on a 125 mile trip yesterday going East round Amsterdam during rush hour.

Return trip same route no rush hour managed 31.5 mpg overall.

Didnt get it above 33mpg. MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

Cliff when I put total cost of the fuel divided by cost per litre and mileage through my excel spread sheet it came out at somewhat less than 40mpg! The trip computer never showed more than 32 mpg for the whole trip.
Just checked what I put into the tank and I did 407 miles and filled up up to the top of the filler neck with 12.6 gallons so I actually used slightly over a half tank and then overfilled it Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
