Sump removal/Cleaning on 2009 RRS

Good morning guys, refitting recon turbos to a 2009 Range rover sport.
Been advised to change relevant hoses which is no problem however i have also been advised the sump will need cleaning out.
Does the engine have to be dropped to remove the sump?..could do with knowing the best/quickest way to get it off, many thanks in advance, Roy

What engine? The TDV8 is an engine out job to do the sump I believe. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Have you considered the difficulties in calibrating such turbos correctly when deciding on the recon route? Whistle

(Also, is that 2.7 or 3.0? You say "turbos" so may we assume the latter?)

Edit: ...and welcome to the forum, of course. Smile
