I've just swapped my wheels and tyres to a set of 21" off the new shape sport. The tyres are 275/45 R21, the car originally had 20" wheels with 275/40 R20 tyres. Am I OK to use the spare wheel if ever needed or do I need to change the spare as well?

Just checking that those profiles are the right way round:

Was 275/40/R20
Now 275/45/R21

If the above is correct (and I'm assuming it is, since they're from a new Sport) then, no, you can't use it, the difference is too large for anything but perhaps a few metres.  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

You could use the Rim however you would need to fit a 275/50 profile tyre to match or equivalent , I bough a single 21" wheel and tyre of Flea-Bay to use.

The other issue is that size spare will not fit in the spare wheel well I'm afraid (Ask me how I Know) however with a Grinder, Hacksaw, Dremel and some rather blue expletives It is possible to get it to fit. (Just)
