They haven't done for years. They do them up by hand, torque them up properly and another guy should check torque them. I used to be an area manager for them many many moons ago |

They undid them by hand too. Did see the lad using a torque wrench but no idea of what he had it set to. I checked the nuts with my torque wrench when I got home to make sure. Didn't realise they'd been doing it that way for years as I use a local tyre place normally. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

When I briefly worked for them (about a year), I had 5 depots to look after and I made a ruling that all depot managers should write the torque setting used onto the sales receipt. Just a bit of an umbrella for us should the wheels come off

You didn't mention if they used your suspension compressor to jack your car up though.... Should i ever be very desperate to use Kwik Fit, I would have to supervise thier every move.. Pleased you got sorted. As you say, with it being Sunday, your options are limited. |

I did watch them jack it up; like most places seem to, they l put the jack under from the rear. Safely away from the compressor. I checked the tyre pressure afterwards and they'd actually set it to what I'd asked them to too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
