My compressor is noisy, but behaves normally (wouldn't say it sounds rough though). Been like it since I bought the car two years ago and no issues. I've given it new seals etc. but it's still noisy. Don't want to mess about with it too much since it runs OK. When it eventually gives up I'll just fit an AMK. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

My compressor was replaced last year with the AMK version; it's still audible outside the vehicle when it's working. The key pointer is how quickly the vehicle rises when requested. Also, whether you can go from access height to off road height without it showing the "slow rise" message. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
