Ah yes! something like a few get out of speeding fine passes is a great idea.

"I see sir you have a high tax vehicle and you were doing 90 on the motorway - I'm going to have to take one of your 10 get out of speeding passes please"

I decided to pay mine monthly even though it's a 5% surcharge. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The whole road tax thing is a shambles now a days, we all get ripped off big style and its worse if you are buying and selling a car.
You sell and they get part of the month’s tax from you and you buy and they get part of a month’s tax from you.
They say they don’t make money from this  Lot of Landcruisers now sold

I too pay monthly - better than a £500 shock around Christmas time

Plus I don't have to fanny around doing it, do it once and once only.

I do my tax via the monthly option, its easier when you sell the car. No waiting for refunds etc Current 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE with the usual toys: timed climate, Rosen headrest screens, tow bar with twin electrics, Blackvue HD cam
