[For Sale] 2005 (2012 Upgrade) RRS Autobiography Java Black

Original thread is here:
http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic39916....da5561d378

Up for sale on fleaBay currently here:
Link Removed

Differences from the listing and the reality as mentioned on the forum

1. The upgrade was actually £3,700 as mentioned in my thread on the forum – not the £4k as stated on eBay
2. Owners – when I bought the car I was told I was the 3rd owner. In fact I was actually the 6th and I didn’t find this out until I got the log book. The previous owner did indeed own it for 8 years so he bought it for 34k in 2007 and was the FIFTH owner! Strange.
3. On eBay, I state on the link that I am selling due to a company car, I’m not – I’m selling to fund another RRS but put this to avoid all of the px offers of other models

The math is:
£11,000 RRS (receipt to prove)
£3,700 Upgrade
£1,500 Style 10 wheels
= £16,200

I think 15k is a fair price as I'll take £1,000 hit on the difference in owners and the 4k miles I've put on it.

It's an £11k, 115k mile 2005 RRS and you want £15k for it. I think that's where you're struggling. No matter how nice the bolted on bits are, the vehicle is still an "ordinary" RRS. Sorry, but as suggested in your thread, you might be better off putting the old bits back on and selling the car and update separately. You might get most of your money back that way. A kitted car is never going to have the same intrinsic value of an original high-spec car. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Point taken - I'd probably be happy with 14k but just lack the time to change it back Previous...

Have to agree/ I'd be amazed if you get away with a £1000 'hit'. But realistically you can't expect to get exactly what you paid for extras like wheels and body kit back in full.

I kind of suggested that you might be overcapitalising and would struggle come sale time, sadly, because it's a clean looking car. I think you will get 10 -11k which you would also get if you took it back to standard specification.

Sad fact is though that 10 year old high mile RRSs are not that desirable. If I was in UK and lived like I do here, I would be interested in it for beach / bush / boat tow / visitor car duties ......a job currently undertaken by an old Subaru.

I'd echo what others have said but I was too afraid to say! What you have done adds saleability to the vehicle and not necessarily value. I think the bidding on Ebay will give you some indication as to it's true worth. Lovely car though nonetheless.

Spain

Auto Trader have over 40 nice looking Sports for under £10k, some 2006 cars in there as well.
I know your car looks nice, and to you it's worth every penny, however, sorry, it looks like you are asking a very high price.
Put the original wheels & Plastic bits, bumper etc on and try for £10k, In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Again, all points taken guys and appreciated.

It's up to £12,500 so far and anything else is a massive plus.

You know what it's like, you get carried away and the money you put in you expect back.... But it's a buyers market and my 16k in is meaningless to a potential buyer.

I've found a 2011 with only 18k on it that is just perfect so any extra money from this RRS will just go to paying my insurance off for the year (NOT UPGRADING!) Previous...

GLWTS. Hopefully you get back "enough" and that will allow your next purchase.

Sometimes I wonder if a drug habit would be cheaper than a Land Rover habit! Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Final price of £13k doesn't seem too bad if the bidder goes through with it.

Yeah, all things considered I would say I’m happyish with that.

It was the owners that killed it. Well aware that it’s 115k and 10 years old but the owners was the killer blow.

Well, learning curve for me to not upgrade a car (or just buy it upgraded and let somebody else take the hit)

Picking up my new RRS next week!!!!!! Previous...

If you get the 13k, you have done very well in my opinion. Good result.

No idea what things are worth, but the pictures on the link show a very neat looking car. I don't like 'upgrades' much but your one is very cleverly and tastefully done. I hope you get a solid price for it. Thumbs Up L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
