HELP WITH COLOURS / CONFIGURATIONS

Hi Everyone! Am new in here and need some advice. I am about to order a new RRS HSE MY16 and am tearing hair out regarding colours. All opinions greatly received and appreciated.

I am looking at getting it in Aruba silver. Thoughts?

Black contrast roof or body coloured?

Also, interior....
All black leather (practical) or the ebony/ivory with the cream seats and headlining and black footwells? Never had a cream interior beofre and so not sure how practical it will be?

Also, if I did go for the ebony/ivory with ivory headlining, what colour will the loadspace be in the boot (carpet and interior sides)

HELP! Am conscious of making an expensive mistake and was hoping anyone in here could offer some words of wisdom???

Thanks!

Hi

Thanks for the reply! I have got the contrast roof and privacy glass. I have opted for the exterior coloured bumpers etc. with the ebony/ivory interior but just worried all boot area is going to be ivory???? I have a dog Laughing

Park assist and the Adaptive cruise control are on the order too - are they worth it??

Salesman put me off by saying Aruba was a colour for older people.... Shocked

I signed up in April and was still able to change the order up until a week ago, it's worth asking if you can alter the order further down the line. Think the boot area will be black. MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

Adaptive cruise control is a must have for me. Even my wife's Ford galaxy has it fitted and it is fantastic. Standard cruise is almost unsafe by comparison and you have to keep knocking it off and back on again or tweaking the speed. With ACC it does it all for you - almost.

Hi everyone

Had the test drive in an HSE Dynamic in red with red leather interior Thumbs Up It was fantastic and made my X5 feel like an old rattling bus!!! So we have placed an order but still have time to change options. The salesman said he thought if the seats were Ivory leather then the boot space would be black but he wasn't sure?? I can see on your photo Col (thanks for that) that you have the ebony ivory comnbination with the black seats. I'm thinking if the seats are ivory leather then the boot space would be ivory too as the backs of the seats would be ivory? unless they cover the backs of them with black? Anyone know what happens in the boot if the seats are ivory...?!?!?!

I'm also not sure about the Aruba colour now but don't want black or dark grey. All the cars I have ever had have been silver or black and the Aruba felt like a bit of a change but just not sure...... Confused

Hi

Not really sure how you mean black seats, I think it's Monaco style or something like that.

I like Aruba a lot.

With Aruba, for leather I would go espresso (?) or Almond if they do it. Ivory if you are feeling brave! I had an XJR with ivory and the drivers seat had apparently irremovable marks from my jeans & leather belt after a year or so.

Adaptive cruise is a must have. I like the Forward Alert capability the most, and the cruise bit is usefl for long slogs behind the wheel.

I would not get park assist in case hackers took control of my car from the back of their transit van! Shocked Well, more likely I would not get it because I don't think I would use it, I mean, parking ain't that hard, right? When parking is difficult I bet the system could either not handle it, or, it would give me a panic attack as we nearly hit stuff. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

Hi everyone - thanks so much for the replies/advice. It's all totally appreciated.

Col - Your colour combi looks fantastic. The colour I'm thinking of in the MY16 sport is ivory seats with the black being the lower carpets. The backs of the seats are all ivory and so thinking I should just play it safe and go for black.

ilard - pleased to hear soemone likes Aruba!!! Every sales person I speak to says don't but I've never had a RR before (had few X5s) and fancy a totaly change!

Still very undecided on colours but, after the test drive, I am thrilled to be getting rid of the X5!!!!!!

Thanks everyone!

Thumbs Up
