Checking back through my posts since joining you will see that I have had my fair share of problems in just over two months of ownership. As a result I have decided to change the car for another one - more of that when it's done.

One of my possible choices is advertised as an SDV6 11 plate - doesn't mention MY - but pictures show it with a gear stick not rotary control. Is this correct or do all SDV6s have the rotary control and therefore is this car wrongly described?

My 61 plate was one of the early SDV's if memory serves me correctly and it has the rotary select. Regd 311011 IIRC

Up for sale for Sept if interested? 36,000 ish miles, Grey, SE - known to me as MY12. Privacy, keyless entry, Nav, leather, heated fronts seats etc..... more if of interest.

Wrongly described. SDV6 with 8 speed rotary gear shift was introduced in MY12 (61 plate). 11 plate with gear stick will be a 6 speed TDV6. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Thanks guys, and very kind offer MAW but I'm doing this in the next few weeks.

Looking through LR approved cars I have noticed this more than once. You would think that Main Dealers would check for accuracy wouldn't you? This could lead to all sorts of legal problems in sale of goods act etc.

And while we are advertising our cars here, my SDV6 MY13 HSE Black Editon with 16,200 miles (at present) will also be available in September

I've wondered for a while what the S in SDV6 stands for... The T in TDV6 is obvious, but the S....

The newly-tweaked 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel comes in two new versions, both of which meet the new EU5 pollution regulations. The less powerful unit (badged TDV6) gets the same 208bhp, but sees Co2 emissions drop to from 243 to 224g/km, neatly slotting it down to tax band K. The more powerful version (SDV6) gets an extra 11bhp and emissions also drop from 243g/km to 230g/km (so it stays in band L).
