personally i would care if they transferred it around to whoever if main dealer sold you the car on basis it had one previous owner and you have proof of this i would be telling them to take the car, and then see what they are offering as some way of compensation although I reckon you may encounter the 'we never said it was only one owner" response resulting in a stand off

So i own the car. I have the one owner comment in an email from them and also they stated the same thing again when I went for a test drive.

i wouldn't say you are if you have it in black and white from a main dealer the car only had one previous owner and its had 2 they have lied or they was mistaken either way its not what was agreed was it, i would personally make a bit of noise you may get a free service or even some money back and it may also make them have words with salesman and make sure he's not doing this regularly |

So its worth £500 less. Im not sure what you paid for the sport but if you were happy with the price and the condition of the car i would let it go. Is £500 worth the drama and stress? Maybe it is. I doubt they will take the car back but maybe you could push for a free service or something?

i've seen this many times before and encountered it a lot when shopping for my rrs. before you owned it it had one previous owner on the V5, that's correct. But now that you own the vehicle, the then "current" owner becomes a former owner, making it two in total. It's a very cheap marketing tactic. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

luke I agree with you, I have noticed that a lot. Always check the V5 form should say 0 previous keepers if your looking for a one keeper car.

true. the fact that a main dealer was involved in this con trick is reprehensible. this wasn't a mistake. They should give you a free service. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
