Ok, Just a quick question for anyone technical. My dealer is offering a "power upgrade" that I am told is a "box that goes between my ECU and the fuel injection rail". Does anyone know how this would work (given the scant info).

The dealer tunes Lambos, Bentley Ferraris and even an XJ220 so I assume that they would be using a "quality" upgrade but I would just like to know how it works as they could not really explain it to me in English.

Hello,

Your dealing is offering you a 'plug-in' common rail fuel pressure box. Basically this increases fuel pressure 'behind' each injector so when the injector 'fires' increased amounts of fuel or injected into the engine cylinders increasing power and torque.

Some of these devices are good but some are very poor quality.

It is not as good as a 'chip' or're-map'

How much are they charging and what manufacturer is the box made by?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I will try to find out the relevant details and post it up for you. I am sure that they would only use high quality parts as you can see from post the sort of car that they deal with day in and day out. They are, amongst other marques, a proper LR dealer but have watched them tune an XJ220 and a couple of new Lambos (as, obviously, these cars are just not fast enough )
