Think it is messing me about ,clicks a few times then works ,want to check connections on it ,not sure where to

Mine did that for a while. Then it died. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

No, I had it done by the dealer under warranty. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Was the starter itself clicking, or did you get no response when turning the key?

Yes starter was clicking ,when I try for second /third time it starts fine ,I am thinking its the solenoid sticking,

Sorry, not done it - trying to diagnose a fault on my own truck. mine doesn't click, it just doesn't do anything when you turn the key sometimes. I suspect mine is just a loose or wet connection on the starter solenoid...

Looking at the workshop manual, the job does look, as Mikey suggested, to be a 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yes i agree had the skid plate off yesterday and was able to see the motor ...just !!

You have a PM 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
