At the title says, any idea when is model year 2016 is likely to be announced and when would deliveries start?

I am planning on ordering before too long and would probably expect a delivery at the end of the summer if I ordered soon.

Varies year on year. In the past the model revisions have come to light around May and deliveries in September/October. If you are ordering a S/C soon then it may arrive around the change over, a diesel will very probably come before.

I have no idea what changed/updates are planned to the current range, and can't think of much that needs changing. Possibly the introduction of InControl Touch from the Discovery Sport. Introduction of the HotFire engines? 

I'd say there was a fair bit that "needed" changing but doubt it will; InSecure - Cat 5, woefully slow touchscreen satnav/display to name a couple.....
