Helicopter windows ?

Has anyone else noticed this strange phenomena.... or is it just me ?

Close both front windows and sunroof. Lower both rear windows to approx 3 inches. At speeds of 35 mph upwards it sounds like you are flying a Chinook helicopter mission !!! (How cool is that)

I guess it is to do with differing air pressures internally and externally, no doubt someone will know what causes it. It is fun though... but not for long periods, as the sound eventually scrambles your brain.

I noticed that too. I got paranoid about driving with the rear windows down incase it took the back one out with the air pressure.

Yup.

Itīs covered on page 17 in the "quick start" section of the handbook.

"if a resonance/booming sound occurs with only the rear windows open,
lowering an adjacent front window about 25mm (1 inch) will
eliminate the condition.
This will change the frequency of the air volume moving in/out of the vehicle
and thus lessen or remove the booming sound"
