2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
ENGINE SYSTEM FAULT

Hi all, had loss of power and "Engine System Fault" on display of my2010 3.0 TDV6 HSE last week. Stopped and restarted and carried on journey with no problem. However this happened for the second time again yesterday.

After looking through previous threads it points to sticking turbo actuator rod, split hose or dirty MAP sensor.

I am not very technical, but will maybe have a look myself before booking it in to garage, but can anyone advise where the MAP sensor is (also what does MAP stand for?), and is there more than one turbo, if so I believe one is accessible from beneath the battery area but where is the other?

Your help and advice as always is much appreciated.

Thanks

Could also just be sticking EGR valve.

Does it have little power up to about 1900 and then kick in? Or just no power at all? Bodsys Brake Bible

Hi Bodsy. It was running steady at around 75mph and then warning message came up and loss of power. when I pulled up on the hard shoulder the engine remained running and was shaky when I accelerated in neutral between 1000-2000rpm.
