Low coolant warning.

Thrashing back from a weekend at the Le Mans Classic and the low coolant message flashes up.

We stop and check at a service stop - the coolant levels fine. On re-start the message is gone. About a 100km later the same thing happens. The car was serviced 4 weeks ago.

Nothing since - I suspect sensor but any ideas ?

By the way the car performed excellently - 34mpg, for just over 1,000 miles at an average of 53mph; not bad for a 3 tonne shed Thumbs Up

Mine does this occasionally. Of course my dealer can't fix it because it's an intermittent fault and they haven't seen it show on the dash. Pah! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I had this on my full fat. It seems the dealer topped it up with plain normal water and the coolant sensor didn't like it?!?

Sounds like Censored to me but I drained some out and mixed it with the correct coolant and it worked, that's after having the sensor replaced.

Dealer agrees he's ordered tanks & sensor. Will report back.
